Scott Wood Retirement PartyA Happy Occasion and Good News:

On February 7, 2015, we joined National Forest Service personnel and many other professional or private friends/associates of Scott Wood at his retirement party in Mesa, Az.  Scott was the Tonto National Forest Archaeologist for 40 years and long time archaeologist working with Desert Foothill Chapter.  He has guided us, taught us, and participated with us on many adventures always giving willingly of his time.  The best news is Scott's new position creating "Friend's of the Tonto National Forest" 501-C3 and continuing his association with the AAS Desert Foothills Chapter means that we continue our long association with him.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  Field trips, workshops, classes, and special extended activities are open to AAS members only.  This type of activity often requires a signed AAS-DFC Liability Release Form.

Help Us to Help the Environment:  Still take a paper copy of The Petroglyph?  Help our chapter "go green" and switch from postal delivery to email.  The email version is in color, available earlier than the printed version, and reduces costs to AAS.  To convert to the electronic version, you may use the form on the website (www.azarchsoc.org) to sign up, or email Sylvia Lesko at slesko4@cox.net with the words “email my Petroglyph” in the subject line and indicating your name and chapter.   Members may also edit their own email selection from within the profile found in the "members-only" area after logon with a password.  Note: as of June 2015, all distribution is electronic unless by chapters for special case distribution.  Eliminating any paper deliveries are the ultimate goal.  Thank you!                                                                              "TOP"
